Add Tags From the Send or Schedule Page in Email Campaigns
You can create new contact tags right from the Send or Schedule page in Sparkforge email campaigns. Type a new tag name, apply it based on contact behavior, and use it instantly in automations.
You can now create contact tags from the Send or Schedule page during email campaign setup in Sparkforge. Tags drive segmentation and trigger automations — and you no longer need to pre-create them in the Contacts section.
What this does
- Create new tags on the fly while scheduling or sending an email campaign.
- Apply tags based on contact interactions with the campaign.
- Make new tags available immediately throughout the account.
How to add tags during campaign setup
- Open Email Marketing and start a new campaign or edit an existing one.
- Click Send or Schedule after the campaign is finalized.
- Find the Add Tags option and toggle it on. Sparkforge will assign tags based on how each contact interacts with the campaign.
- Type any new tag name (for example,
Q4_promo_opens) directly into the field. The tag is created the moment you add it. - Send or schedule the campaign.
View tag results
After the campaign sends, open the Campaign Stats page and click Tags to see a tag summary by recipient action.
Important notes
- Tags must be created one at a time on this page.
- Currently scoped to email campaigns — not SMS or other channel types.
- New tags only apply to the contacts you tag in this campaign. Existing automations and contacts are not retroactively affected.
