How to Batch Schedule Email Campaigns in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Batch scheduling spreads a campaign across timed intervals instead of sending all at once. Set batch size, repeat frequency, active days, and time windows to manage traffic and protect deliverability.

Batch scheduling (drip mode) delivers campaigns in timed chunks rather than firing the whole list at once. Use it to manage traffic to landing pages, smooth out server load, and protect deliverability on large sends.

How batch scheduling works

You define batch size, repeat frequency, active days, and a daily time window. Sparkforge sends one batch, waits the interval, sends the next, and repeats until the list is exhausted.

Before you start

  • Verify your sending domain.
  • Have a template ready.

Step 1: Create the campaign

  1. Go to Marketing → Email → Campaigns.
  2. Click New Campaign or open an existing draft.

Step 2: Design the email

  1. Pick or build a template.
  2. Add content, images, and links.
  3. Use Preview and Test Email to verify rendering.

Step 3: Configure batch delivery

  1. Click Send or Schedule.
  2. From Sending Options, pick Batch Schedule.
  3. Set the start date and time.
  4. Set Batch Quantity: emails per batch (not number of batches). 10,000 recipients with a quantity of 1,000 sends in 10 batches of 1,000 each.
  5. Set Repeat after: a number plus frequency (days, hours, minutes). Seconds is no longer supported — saved drafts using seconds clear automatically.
  6. Uncheck days when the campaign should not send.
  7. Set start and end time of the daily window.
  8. Add Sender Name (optional), Sender Domain, Sender Email, Subject Line, Preview Text, and Recipients.
  9. Click Schedule.

Validation

  • End time before Start time triggers an inline error: "End time can’t be before start time."
  • Send and Schedule stay disabled until errors are fixed.
  • Midnight (12:00 AM) boundaries are handled correctly.

Reschedule

Allowed up to one hour before execution. Use the action menu on the campaign and pick Reschedule Campaign.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I edit the copy of a batch campaign without resetting statistics?
Yes. Click Update Email Content on the ongoing batch campaign and save edits before the next execution.
How do I reschedule a batch campaign?
In Marketing > Email > Campaigns, open the campaign action menu and pick Reschedule Campaign. Allowed up to one hour before the next execution.
Does Batch Quantity mean number of batches or emails per batch?
Emails per batch. Set it to 1,000 with 10,000 recipients and Sparkforge sends 10 batches of 1,000 each.
Why can I no longer set seconds for the repeat interval?
Seconds were removed to prevent scheduling errors. Pick 1 minute or higher. Drafts using seconds clear automatically.
What rate limit applies to my batch send?
Depends on the repeat frequency. Tighter intervals (30 sec – 1 min) cap at 1,000 messages per minute; intervals above 10 minutes go up to 10,000 per minute.
