Import Email Templates Into the Sparkforge Code Editor

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge's Email Template Import lets you migrate templates from any platform by sending a test or campaign email to a system-generated address. The template lands in your Code Editor ready to edit.

Move existing email templates from Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, ConvertKit, Constant Contact, or any platform that sends test or campaign emails. Send the email to a system-generated address and Sparkforge imports the template into the Code Editor.

What this feature does

The Email Template Import feature pulls templates into your Sparkforge account by capturing a test or campaign email you send to a unique address Sparkforge generates for you. Once received, the template appears in your Code Editor with original formatting intact.

Why use it

  • Faster onboarding — bring existing templates over without rebuilding.
  • Design preserved — original layout, HTML, and inline CSS stay intact.
  • Edit immediately — open in the Code Editor and customize.
  • Platform-agnostic — works with anything that sends test or campaign emails.
  • Quick — templates appear within seconds of sending.

How to import a template

  1. Go to Email Marketing → Templates.
  2. Click New and select Import.
  3. In the import menu, choose Other Platform.
  4. Copy the system-generated email address shown on screen.
  5. From the source platform (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, etc.), send your template as a test or campaign email to that address.
  6. Return to Sparkforge — the template appears in the Templates list.
  7. Click the imported template to open it in the Code Editor.

Once imported, edit, clone, or assign it to a campaign.
