Configure Sender Preferences in the Sparkforge Email Builder

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sender Preferences set defaults for From Name, From Email, Reply-To, and test recipients across every new campaign and test send. Updates only apply to new campaigns — existing drafts and scheduled emails keep their original values.

Setting From Name, From Email, Reply-To, and test recipients on every campaign wastes time and introduces typos. Sender Preferences in the Sparkforge Email Builder define those values once at the account level and auto-fill them on every new campaign or test.

How defaults behave

Sender Preferences auto-fill when you create a new campaign or test send. You can still override them per campaign. Important: updates only apply to new work. Existing drafts and scheduled emails keep their original values unless you edit them manually.

Set them up

  1. Click Marketing in the left menu, then Emails.
  2. Click the Campaigns tab.
  3. Click the gear (Settings) icon in the top right.
  4. Select Sender Preferences in the left sidebar.
  5. Fill in the fields below.
  6. Click Save.

The fields

Sender Name

The name recipients see in their inbox — typically your brand or a team member's name. The tag icon on the right inserts a dynamic value (custom field) instead of a fixed name.

Sender Email

The address in the From line. Use one that matches your verified sending domain. The field shows verification status (for example, Email verified) so you know the address is authenticated.

Test Recipient(s)

Up to five email addresses, comma-separated, that receive test emails before campaigns go live. Common picks: your inbox, QA team, stakeholder addresses.

Custom Reply-To

A different address for inbound replies. Send newsletters from marketing@yourdomain.com but route replies to support@yourdomain.com or a shared inbox. Leave blank to default to the sender email.

Deliverability note

Mismatched Sender Email and Reply-To values can flag as suspicious. Authenticate the Sender Email domain (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and keep Reply-To on the same monitored domain when possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will updating Sender Preferences change existing scheduled campaigns?
No. Sender Preferences only apply to new campaigns and test emails. Existing drafts and scheduled sends keep their original values unless you edit them manually.
What happens when I clone an old campaign?
Clones inherit the original campaign's stored sender values, not your current defaults. Always review From Name, From Email, and Reply-To after cloning.
How do Sender Preferences work with multiple brands in one account?
Defaults are account-level. If you run multiple brands, set the most-used identity as default and override per campaign for the others.
Do mismatched Sender Email and Reply-To values hurt deliverability?
Yes. Providers may flag the mismatch as suspicious. Authenticate the Sender Email domain and keep Reply-To on the same monitored domain when possible.
How many test recipients can I save?
Up to five comma-separated addresses.
