How to Multi-Select Files in Sparkforge Media Storage
Multi-Select in Sparkforge Media Storage lets you pick up to 100 files at a time and move, download, or delete them in a single action. Files larger than 2 GB must be downloaded individually.
Sparkforge Media Storage supports Multi-Select so you can move, download, or delete a batch of files in one pass instead of clicking through them one at a time.
What Multi-Select Does
Multi-Select lets you pick multiple files or folders inside the same folder and run a single bulk action against the selection. The action menu replaces the per-file menu while you have items selected.
How to Enter Multi-Select Mode
Grid View
Click and drag your cursor across the files you want, or open the three-dot menu on any file and choose Select. Selected files show a checkmark in the top-left corner.
List View
Use the checkbox next to each row to add or remove items from the selection.
Run a Bulk Action
With files selected, use the action bar to run one of three operations:
- Move the selection to another folder.
- Download the selection as a batch (up to 100 files per pass).
- Delete the selection.
Limits and Behavior
- Maximum selection size for any bulk action is 100 files.
- Any file larger than 2 GB is skipped during multi-download and must be downloaded individually.
- Rename and Get Link are disabled while you have multiple files selected.
- Multi-Select operates inside a single folder — you cannot mix files from different folders in one selection.
- Duplicate filenames during a move or download trigger a rename-or-skip prompt before anything is overwritten.
