How the Sparkforge Affiliate Portal Works

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The Sparkforge Affiliate Portal gives each affiliate a private dashboard for referral links, leads, commissions, and payouts. Admins control what affiliates see — tax forms, payout methods, masked emails — from Affiliate Portal Settings.

The Affiliate Portal (also called the Client Portal) is the dashboard your affiliates log into to track referral links, leads, customers, commissions, and payouts. It keeps affiliates self-serve so you spend less time answering "where's my link?" and "how much did I earn?"

How affiliates get access

Step 1: Add the affiliate to a campaign

Once an affiliate is added to an active campaign, Sparkforge sends an invitation email. Make sure the Invite Email toggle is on in the campaign settings. You can also automate welcome emails or SMS messages with the "Affiliate Enrolled In Campaign" trigger.

Step 2: Affiliate logs in

Affiliates log in with credentials from the invitation email. They land on the Affiliate Dashboard with their campaign data and referral links.

What affiliates see in the portal

Dashboard screen

Every campaign the affiliate belongs to, plus the headline metrics: leads, customers, clicks, and commissions. Referral links are one click away.

Leads and customers screen

Detailed lead and customer records for everyone who signed up or purchased through the affiliate's links — so they can see which promotions actually convert.

Commission screen

Commissions earned, total revenue generated, and payout status. Affiliates also add their preferred payout method here.

Sub-affiliate page

If your program runs sub-affiliates, the affiliate sees their downline here. With sub-affiliate sign-up enabled, they get a form URL to recruit others.

Configuring Affiliate Portal Settings

Open Affiliate Manager → Settings → Affiliate Portal Settings. Toggle these on or off to match how you run the program:

  • Ask affiliates to upload W9/W8 forms — shows a banner prompting tax form upload. Required for U.S. tax compliance and avoids payout delays.
  • Require affiliates to set up a payout method — banner asks affiliates to add PayPal or bank details. Cuts down on manual follow-up.
  • Mask referral emails on affiliate dashboard — partial email masking (e.g., john****@gmail.com) protects customer privacy.
  • Configure payout methods — choose which payout options affiliates can pick (only enabled ones appear in the portal).

Saving changes

  1. In Affiliate Portal Settings, click any toggle to enable (green) or disable (gray).
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click Save.

Best practices

  • Enable at least one payout method or affiliates won't know how to get paid.
  • Use email masking when campaigns involve sensitive customer relationships.
  • Pair the W9/W8 banner with a NET-30 payout term so paperwork doesn't block payments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do affiliates log into the Sparkforge Affiliate Portal?
They use the link in their invitation email. After first sign-up, they log in via the MyPortal app with the credentials they created.
What if an affiliate didn't get the invitation email?
Have them check spam and junk folders. Confirm the email address on the affiliate profile and that the campaign is active. Resend by re-toggling Invite Email or running an automation.
Can I require tax forms before affiliates get paid?
Yes. Enable the W9/W8 upload banner in Affiliate Portal Settings. Affiliates see the prompt in their dashboard until they upload.
Can affiliates see the full email of customers they referred?
Only if email masking is off. Turn on Mask Referral Emails to display partial addresses like john****@gmail.com instead.
Can I limit affiliates to just one payout method?
Yes. Use Configure Payout Methods in Affiliate Portal Settings to enable only PayPal or only Bank Transfer — affiliates won't see the others.
