How to Set a Default Dashboard in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Open the dashboard you want as default, click the three-dot menu in the top right, and choose Set as Default. Account Admins or Agency users with full dashboard access can do this; every team member needs at least View permission.

Default Dashboards control what your team sees first when they open the Dashboard section. Set it once and the whole team lands on the same page — useful for pinning the metrics that drive daily decisions.

How to Set a Default Dashboard

  1. Open the dashboard you want as the default.
  2. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Set as Default Dashboard.
  4. Confirm.

Permissions and Rules

  • Who can set: Account Admins or Agency users with full access to the dashboard.
  • Who needs view access: every team member must have at least View permission on that dashboard for it to be set as default.
  • Cannot delete a default: a dashboard set as default can't be deleted until another dashboard is set as the default.

Default vs. Pinned Dashboards

Default dashboards are the team-wide landing page. Pinned dashboards are individual favorites — each user pins their own for quick access. The two settings live independently.

If your default dashboard reverted unexpectedly

A patch addressed a post-release bug that re-changed default dashboards. If yours flipped back, follow the steps above to reset it. Existing dashboards and widgets are unaffected. If the issue persists, contact support.
