Dashboard Summary AI in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Dashboard Summary AI reads any Sparkforge dashboard and produces a plain-language summary of trends, risks, and recommended next steps, plus widget-level insights when you hover.

Dashboard Summary AI is a built-in analysis tool that reads an entire Sparkforge dashboard and writes a plain-language summary of what changed, why it might have changed, and where to look next. Hover any widget for a focused insight on that single chart, table, or KPI.

What it does

  • Dashboard summary: click Summarize Dashboard with AI to generate a synopsis that respects the active date range and filters.
  • Follow-up questions: ask natural-language questions like “What are the key driving trends?” on custom widgets.
  • Widget-level insights: hover a widget and click the AI icon for a focused insight card.

How to enable Dashboard Summary AI

  1. From Agency view, go to Settings → Company and toggle AI Employee on for the sub-account.
  2. Open the sub-account and navigate to any dashboard.
  3. Click Summarize Dashboard with AI in the dashboard header.
  4. Review the callouts for wins, risks, and suggested next steps.
  5. Use the follow-up field on custom widgets to ask deeper questions.
  6. Hover any widget and click the AI icon for a widget-level insight.

What you get back

Expect peaks, dips, and likely drivers, plus recommended next steps you can validate with your team. Use widget insights to pinpoint outliers without opening half a dozen reports.

Limits

Follow-up questions are supported on custom widgets only, not on standard widgets. AI Employee must be enabled for the sub-account before any of this appears in the dashboard header.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I turn on Dashboard Summary AI?
In Agency view, open Settings then Company and toggle AI Employee on for the sub-account. Once enabled, the Summarize Dashboard with AI button appears in any dashboard header.
Does the summary respect filters and date ranges?
Yes. The summary is generated against the active filters and date range, so changing them gives you a different briefing.
Can I ask follow-up questions on any widget?
Follow-ups work on custom widgets. Standard widgets do not support follow-up questions, but you can still hover them for an AI insight card.
What is the difference between dashboard and widget summaries?
The dashboard summary describes the entire view in a single briefing. Widget summaries focus on one chart, table, or KPI and help you validate setup or investigate an outlier.
Is Dashboard Summary AI included in every plan?
AI Employee features are tied to your Sparkforge plan. Higher tiers include more AI capacity, so usage and availability scale with the plan you are on.
