How to Forward Emails from Conversations in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge lets you forward an inbound email from any Conversation thread to external recipients while keeping the original formatting, attachments, and audit history in the same thread.

Email forwarding inside Conversations sends an inbound message to outside recipients without leaving Sparkforge. The forward is logged as an outbound event in the same thread so the timeline stays complete.

What forwarding does

  • Sends any inbound email message to one or more external recipients from inside the thread.
  • Preserves original content, inline images, and signatures where the source supports it.
  • Records who forwarded, when, and to whom on the Conversation timeline.
  • Routes any reply back to the connected mailbox via 2-way sync.

Before you forward

  • An email channel must be connected to the sub-account (Sparkforge Email, Gmail 2-way sync, Outlook 2-way sync, or SMTP).
  • The user needs Conversations access and email send permission.
  • Mobile may not show the Forward action — use the web app if needed.
  • Forwards use the mailbox tied to the Conversation channel and your Sending Priority rules.

Sender, attachments, and threading

The From address follows your Sending Priority configuration. Inline images and attachments carry over when the source and provider allow it; large files or blocked types may be stripped by your provider. Replies thread back into the same Conversation as long as 2-way sync is healthy.

How to forward an email

  1. Open Conversations and pick a thread containing the inbound email you want to forward.
  2. Click the kebab icon on the message and select Forward.
  3. Add recipients to To, plus CC or BCC if needed.
  4. Confirm the subject (defaults to Fwd:) and edit the body.
  5. Verify the attachments and inline images you want to keep are present.
  6. Click Send. The forward posts to the timeline as an outbound event.

Troubleshooting

  • No Forward option: Confirm you are on an email message (not SMS or social), have send permission, and the channel is connected.
  • Bounces or delivery errors: Check the error banner, DNS, sender reputation, and provider limits.
  • Missing attachments or formatting: Large files or blocked types may be stripped. Re-attach or share via secure link.
  • Replies not threading: Verify 2-way sync is active for the sending mailbox.
  • Unexpected sender: Review Sending Priority and mailbox connections.
