How to Auto-Post Google and Facebook Reviews with Social Planner

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Social Planner can pull new reviews from your Google Business Profile or Facebook Page and post them to your connected social accounts on a recurring schedule. You control which star ratings publish, the cadence, and the visual styling.

Customer reviews convert when other customers see them. Social Planner pulls new reviews from your Google Business Profile or Facebook Page and posts them to your connected social channels on a schedule you set.

Before you start

  • Connect your social accounts under Settings > Integrations.
  • Connect a Facebook Page or Google Business Profile so reviews can be fetched.
  • Confirm reviews are coming in under Reputation > Reviews.

Create a review automation

  1. Go to Marketing > Social Planner.
  2. Click Post Reviews.
  3. Pick the source accounts to pull from (Google, Facebook) and the star rating range (e.g., 4-5 stars only).
  4. Pick the destination accounts to publish to.
  5. Set the maximum number of posts per run.
  6. Choose a schedule under When should we send? — daily, weekly, or monthly, with a specific time.

Style the post

  • Upload background images (JPEG/PNG, 1:1 ratio, 5MB max).
  • Set font family, size, and color.
  • Add a custom caption or use the review text as the caption.
  • Choose how the reviewer's name appears: full name, first name, or initials.
  • Adjust star color and background opacity.

Manage running automations under Content > Review. Pause, edit, or delete at any time.

How the schedule works

Daily example: schedule 5 posts per day at 8:37am. A review received Jan 1 at 6pm will post Jan 2 at 8:37am. If more than 5 reviews are pending, the system picks the highest-rated 5.

Weekly example: 3 posts per week starting Oct 22 at 11am means 3 reviews publish on Oct 29 at 11am, then again Nov 5, and so on — provided 3 reviews are available between runs.

The post count is the cap per run, not per period. Three weekly means three reviews on the run day, not three runs.

What gets published

  • Only reviews received after the automation was created. Old reviews are skipped.
  • Only reviews with written text. Star-only reviews are skipped.
  • If no eligible reviews exist at run time, the post is skipped and the system tries again on the next scheduled date.
  • Schedule times use your local timezone for publishing.

To add Facebook pages later, go to Reputation > Settings > Integration and paste the Facebook Page URL.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I customize the caption that goes with each review?
Yes. Add a custom caption, include hashtags, or use the review text itself as the caption. You can also pick how the reviewer's name displays.
Which platforms can I publish to?
Any social account you have connected — Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and others, depending on your integrations.
Why are reviews not posting?
The most common cause is an expired or disconnected social token. Reconnect the account under Settings > Integrations. Also confirm reviews are flowing into Reputation > Reviews.
Can I preview a post before it publishes?
Yes. Social Planner shows a live preview of the post before scheduling so you can check styling and copy.
Will old reviews get posted if I create a new automation today?
No. Only reviews received after the automation was created are eligible. Reviews from before the automation date are skipped.
