How to Bulk-Schedule Social Posts with Advanced CSV in Sparkforge
Advanced CSV Bulk Scheduling in Sparkforge's Social Planner uploads up to 90 posts per CSV (or XLSX) across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, Google Business Profile, and more. Supports watermarks, tags, Pinterest boards, and flexible date formats.
Advanced CSV Bulk Scheduling lets you upload a single CSV or XLSX and queue social posts across every connected channel. It is the higher-feature option compared to the Basic CSV — use it when you need watermarks, platform-specific fields, or Pinterest board targeting.
What you can do in one upload
- Schedule posts, Stories, Reels, YouTube Shorts, GMB updates, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Facebook in one file.
- Apply watermarks automatically through dedicated CSV columns.
- Auto-optimize media for each platform's spec.
- Assign tags and categories per post.
- Target specific Pinterest boards by board name or board ID.
- Add first-time comments for higher engagement on supported platforms.
- Use either
.csvor.xlsxwith no conversion step.
Upload an Advanced CSV
- Open Marketing in the left menu.
- Click the Social Planner tab and connect the social accounts you plan to post to.
- Click + New Post and choose Upload from CSV.
- Select the Advance Format option to enable the full feature set.
- Upload your filled-out
.csvor.xlsxfile and click Next. - Pick the social channels and, if needed, toggle Send for approval and choose an approver. Click Create.
- Review any flagged errors and correct them in the importer.
- Click Schedule, then Import to push approved posts to the calendar queue.
Media support by platform
Image carousels
- Facebook and Instagram: support image carousels. Add multiple image URLs separated by commas.
- Google My Business: one image per post. Carousels are not supported.
Reels and video
- Only one video or reel per post.
- Carousels are not supported for reels or videos.
- Multiple video URLs in the same row may cause the post to fail.
Mixed-platform behavior
If a single row targets Facebook and GMB, the first image goes to GMB (single-image limit) and the full set goes to Facebook as a carousel.
Update media after upload
On the third review screen of the importer you can:
- Add new images.
- Update existing images.
- Upload additional images where the platform supports them.
Use this if you prefer not to embed every media URL in the CSV itself.
Watermarks
Add watermark file paths or settings in the dedicated CSV columns. The importer applies watermarks during upload across every supported platform — no manual editing required.
Smart media optimization
Sparkforge resizes, compresses, or reformats media to match each platform's requirements. Configure platform-specific media settings in the CSV template when you need exact control.
Tags and categories
Use the relevant CSV columns to assign tags and categories per post. These power reporting and automation triggers.
Tags and categories do not transfer when you import a CSV from a snapshot or template into a new location. Reapply them in the destination subaccount.
Pinterest board targeting
Add a column labeled Pinterest board to the template even if it is not in the default columns. Enter either the board name or the board ID per row — both formats are accepted.
Flexible date-time formats
The importer accepts every common date-time format so you do not have to reformat exports:
YYYY-MM-DD HH:mmYYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ssYYYY/MM/DD HH:mmYYYY/MM/DD HH:mm:ssMM/DD/YYYY H:mmMM-DD-YYYY H:mmMM/DD/YYYY H:mm:ssMM-DD-YYYY H:mm:ss
Limits and gotchas
- 90 posts per CSV maximum, divided across every social channel you target.
- Google Drive links are no longer accepted. Upload media to the Sparkforge Media Library and use those links in the CSV.
- Validate flagged errors at the review step before importing — the importer will not schedule rows with unresolved issues.
