How to Use Category Queues in Sparkforge Social Planner
Category Queues group your social posts by category and cycle them on a recurring schedule. Sparkforge keeps publishing through the queue, then resets and starts again — ideal for evergreen content reuse.
A Category Queue groups social posts under a category and publishes them on a recurring schedule. The queue cycles through every post in the category, then resets and starts again. Add new posts and they slot in automatically — either at the back or at the front, depending on your priority setting.
What You Get
- Automated evergreen scheduling without rebuilding queues
- Reuse already-published posts and pull in future content tagged to the same category
- Optional priority for newer content so it surfaces first
- Custom days and times per queue
- Pause or resume any queue from the Content tab toggle
How to Build a Category Queue
You'll need at least one published post tagged to a category before creating the queue.
- Log in to your sub-account.
- Go to Marketing → Social Planner.
- Click + New Post → Category Queue.
- Pick an existing category, or type a name to create a new one.
- Toggle options as needed:
- Future Posting — auto-adds upcoming posts published or tagged to the category.
- Prioritise Content — puts new posts at the front of the queue.
- Click Continue.
- Set posting days and times.
- Click Queue Posts.
- Review the queued posts. Edit media or content per post, fix any errors flagged by warning messages.
- Add additional content variations to shuffle media and copy combinations if you want.
- Click Queue Post to schedule.
You can also Save as Draft, Delete, or Reset the queue from the same screen.
How to Edit an Existing Queue
Open the queue and click the three-dot menu. From there you can:
- Edit queue details (name, schedule, priority)
- Reorder posts
- Reschedule the queue
- Add new posts
- Pause or resume publishing
