How to Refresh and Force-Create Snapshots in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge snapshots let you clone sub-account configurations across accounts. Pick exactly which assets to include, refresh only what changed, and force-create snapshots when a few assets fail to load so you keep moving.

Snapshots let you copy sub-account configurations — workflows, funnels, emails, and more — into other accounts. Selective inclusion, selective refresh, and force creation give you tighter control and fewer failed attempts.

What snapshot management does

It captures and reuses sub-account configurations across other accounts. Choose exactly which assets to include, refresh only the parts that changed, and bypass temporary asset load errors when needed.

  • Selective asset inclusion for lean, focused snapshots
  • Selective refresh to update only the assets that changed
  • Force creation so a failed asset does not block the rest
  • Per-asset retries for transient load failures
  • Loading progress visible during creation and refresh

Create a snapshot with selected assets

  1. Open Account Snapshots from the main menu.
  2. Click Create New Snapshot.
  3. Enter a descriptive name.
  4. Select the source sub-account from the dropdown.
  5. Check the assets you want to include — workflows, funnels, emails, etc. Select all or only what you need.
  6. Click Create.

Refresh an existing snapshot selectively

  1. Find the snapshot in Account Snapshots.
  2. Click the Refresh icon next to it.
  3. Currently included assets appear pre-selected. Add or remove items to match what changed.
  4. Click Refresh to apply.

Force-create when assets fail to load

If the system flags a failure during creation, you get a warning with a Force Create Snapshot option. Successfully loaded assets are saved; skipped assets are listed in a summary report so you can revisit them later.

Best practices

  • Name snapshots so you can tell them apart later — include the source account and date.
  • Use selective refresh after small changes instead of recreating snapshots from scratch.
  • Review the skipped-asset report after a force create and retry those assets in a follow-up refresh.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I select no assets when creating a snapshot?
The snapshot is still created but contains no assets. You can refresh it later to add content.
Can I edit a snapshot's contents directly?
No. You cannot modify a snapshot in place, but you can refresh it to add or remove assets.
Does force creation lose data?
No. Failed assets are skipped, not deleted. You can retry them later in a refresh or new snapshot.
Will I see which assets were skipped during a force create?
Yes. A summary lists every skipped or failed-to-load asset after creation completes.
Can I force-refresh a snapshot?
No. Force creation only applies during initial creation, not refresh.
