Post Approval Flow in Sparkforge Social Planner
Social Planner can route any post to a reviewer before it publishes. The reviewer can view, edit, approve, reject, or reschedule the post, and bulk CSV uploads support the same approval flow.
Social Planner in Sparkforge supports a built-in approval workflow. Instead of publishing immediately, a post can be routed to another team member for review. The reviewer can approve, reject, edit, or reschedule before it goes live.
Send a post for approval
- Go to Marketing > Social Planner and create your post with content, media, and hashtags.
- Click Schedule for Approval instead of Schedule.
- Pick the date and time, choose the approver, and add an internal note if context helps.
The reviewer gets an email notification and can find the post under Content > Approval.
What the reviewer can do
- View — open the full post details before deciding.
- Edit — tweak content directly inside the approval screen.
- Approve — schedule the post in the social calendar.
- Reject — send the post back with a comment explaining why.
- Reschedule on approve — click the scheduled date in the review screen, pick a new time, and approve in one step.
Brand the approval email
The notification email reviewers receive can be branded. Go to Marketing > Emails > Templates > New > Email Marketing Templates, then open System Templates > Social Planner: Post Approval. Edit it as needed and save.
Apply the template under Social Planner Settings > Notifications by selecting it for Setup Email template for Social Post Approval.
Bulk approval via CSV
When you upload a CSV through New Post, you'll see an option to select an approver after choosing your social accounts. All imported posts route to that approver and only schedule once approved.
