Manual Reviews in Sparkforge: Add and Display Offline Reviews

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Manual Reviews lets you record reviews collected outside connected platforms (paper forms, emails, calls) inside Sparkforge. Add them one at a time or via CSV, then publish through Review Widgets and filter by Manual source.

Manual Reviews adds a structured way to record offline or unsupported-platform feedback in Sparkforge. Reviews from paper forms, emails, calls, or platforms without a native integration sit in the same Reputation list as Google and other connected sources, and they can flow into widgets and AI summaries.

What you get

  • Complete coverage: show offline reviews next to integrated ones so your public proof isn't capped by integrations.
  • Unified management: one Reviews list, consistent cards, the same filters and labels.
  • Bulk efficiency: import historical datasets via CSV with field validation.
  • Widget-ready: publish manual reviews across every widget layout and filter by source.
  • AI-compatible: manual reviews count toward AI Summaries.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do manual reviews count in AI Summaries?
Yes. AI Summaries include both integrated and manually added feedback, so summaries reflect the full review picture.
Can I add a platform that is not natively supported?
Yes. When adding a manual review you can pick an existing platform, create a custom one (for example, Checkatrade), or choose No Platform.
Where do manual reviews appear after import?
They land in Reputation > Reviews with a Manual Pages label and can be filtered by Source. From there they can flow into widgets and AI Summaries.
Is there a CSV bulk import?
Yes. Download the template from the Upload CSV tab, fill it with your data, and upload. Validation prevents broken rows from importing.
What fields can I capture for a manual review?
Customer Name, Rating, Review Text, Date, Platform or Source, Profile Picture, and Photo Attachments. Required fields follow the in-app form and CSV template.
Can I override the Write a Review link in widgets?
Yes. Widgets support overriding the Write a Review link, so you can route customers to a preferred destination like Google or your own form.
