How to Customize and Embed Review Widgets in Sparkforge
Sparkforge review widgets pull live Google and Facebook reviews, let you control layout, content, and theme, and embed on any site with a single code snippet.
Review widgets pull your Google and Facebook reviews into one block you can drop onto any site. New reviews flow in automatically, the layout matches your branding, and an AI summary highlights overall sentiment at the top.
What you can control
- Source. Pull from Google, Facebook, or both.
- Filters. Hide reviews under a star threshold or those without text.
- Layout. List, Grid, Masonry, Carousel, Slider, Flash, or Legacy.
- Theme. Light, Dark, or Custom with full color control.
- AI summary. Short, Detailed, or Action-Oriented sentiment overview.
Build a widget
- From the sub-account, open Reputation in the left nav.
- Click the Widgets tab.
- Click + Create Widget, or pick a pre-built template for a head start.
- Configure each tab (Layout, Content, Appearance, Settings — see below).
- Click Save.
Layout tab
Sets the structure: review source, widget type, max reviews, minimum rating, AI summary type and position, and whether the "Powered by" footer shows.
Content tab
Edits the header strip — title, heading, supporting description, average rating, total review count, and the "Write a Review" button.
Appearance tab
Picks the theme (Light, Dark, Custom) and sets the font. With Custom, you control background, borders, star color, review text color, and button colors individually.
Settings tab
Toggles per-review options: show the date, show the reviewer icon, hide reviews with no text. The embed code lives here too.
Embed the widget
On a Sparkforge site or funnel, drag the Reviews element onto the page — it renders your default widget.
To embed a specific widget (or use it on a non-Sparkforge site), click the code icon, copy the snippet, and paste it into a custom HTML block. To run multiple different widgets on the same page, embed each one with its own code block.
Maintenance
The widget syncs continuously with Google and Facebook, so new reviews show up automatically based on your filter and display rules. You can edit a live widget at any time — saved changes update everywhere it is embedded.
