Instagram Post Sync in Sparkforge Social Planner

Instagram Post Sync brings your existing Instagram posts into Sparkforge Social Planner. You can view past content, refresh engagement metrics, and manage everything from one calendar instead of recreating posts manually.

Note: This feature is currently in Labs and must be enabled by your agency for sub-accounts.

What gets synced

• Posts from the last 30 days, automatically.
• Images, videos, carousels, and reels.
• Engagement metrics, refreshed every 24 hours (not real time).
• Content imported into the Social Planner calendar alongside scheduled posts.

Limitations from the Instagram API

• Location tags, collaborator details, and mentions may not be available.
• Posts deleted on Instagram still appear in Social Planner. Sync is one-way.
• Only Instagram Professional accounts (Business or Creator) connected via Facebook Login or Instagram Login are supported.

How to enable Instagram Post Sync

Method 1: enable while connecting an account

1. Go to Marketing > Social Planner.
2. Click + Socials.
3. In the Connect Socials popup, turn on Sync Posts Automatically.
4. Click Connect Instagram and finish linking the account.
5. Social Planner starts syncing posts automatically.

Method 2: enable from settings on a connected account

1. Go to Marketing > Social Planner.
2. Click Settings.
3. Go to Social Accounts > Instagram.
4. Enable the Sync Posts toggle for the page.
5. The system starts syncing posts in the background.

Where to find synced posts

• Open Planner to review synced posts in the calendar.
• Open Statistics to review synced performance data.
• If you see a disconnect or expired-access message, follow the reconnect prompt to resume syncing.
