Import contacts into Sparkforge from Contacts > Import. Upload a CSV up to 50MB, map columns to standard or custom fields, and bulk-import in one pass.

Move your existing contacts into Sparkforge in one pass. The import tool accepts CSV files up to 50MB, maps columns to standard or custom fields, and triggers bulk actions once the records are in.

Run a contact import

  1. Open Contacts.
  2. Click the Import icon (downward arrow into a box).
  3. Under Imports-1, select Contacts and click Next.
  4. Confirm the file format.
  5. Upload your CSV (50MB max). Click Download Sample File to see the standard fields template.
  6. Map your CSV columns to Sparkforge contact fields.
  7. For columns that don't match a standard field, create a custom field on the spot or check Don't import data in unmatched columns.
  8. Name the import, optionally add the records to a list, set consent preferences, then click Bulk Import.
  9. Wait for the import to complete.

Standard contact fields

These fields map directly without needing a custom field:

  • Contact ID, Name, First Name, Last Name
  • Date of Birth, Contact Owner, Contact Source, Contact Type
  • Business Name, Phone, Email, Additional Email, Additional Phones
  • Address, City, State, Postal Code, Country
  • DND, Time Zone, Website, Notes

Custom fields for non-standard data

If your spreadsheet has columns like "Service Type" or "Lead Score", create a custom field before mapping.

  1. Go to Settings → Custom Fields.
  2. Click Add Field.
  3. Pick the field type (text, dropdown, number, date).
  4. Fill in the name, group, and placeholder.
  5. Click Save.

Bulk actions on imported contacts

  1. Open Contacts.
  2. Apply filters to narrow the audience.
  3. Tick checkboxes to select contacts.
  4. Click a bulk action button: Add to Automation, Send SMS, Send Email, Add Tags, etc.

Bulk actions are how imported lists become active campaigns — assign tags, drop everyone into an automation, or send a one-off SMS blast right after import.
