Sparkforge handles email, phone, and SMS from one inbox. This guide covers domain verification for email deliverability, buying and forwarding phone numbers, and running bulk SMS campaigns straight from your contact list.

Set up a verified sending domain

A dedicated domain improves inbox placement and protects your sender reputation.

  1. Go to Settings → Email Services.
  2. Click Dedicated Domain and IP.
  3. Click Add Domain.
  4. Enter a subdomain (for example, lc.mydomain.com) and click Add & Verify.
  5. Add the DNS records shown in the instructions at your registrar.
  6. Click Verify Records after the DNS updates.
  7. Click the 3-dot menu → Set Headers.
  8. Enter From Name and From Email, then click Save.

Buy a phone number

  1. Go to Settings → Phone System.
  2. Click Add Number → Add Phone Number.
  3. Filter by country or area code.
  4. Pick the number you want.
  5. Click Proceed to Buy.

The number appears under Manage Numbers once provisioned.

Forward calls to another number

  1. Go to Settings → Phone Numbers.
  2. Click the 3-dot menu → Edit Configuration.
  3. Enter the forwarding number.
  4. Click Save.

Message a single contact

  1. Open Contacts.
  2. Click the contact row.
  3. Use the composer tabs to switch between SMS, Email, or Phone.

Run a bulk SMS campaign

Bulk SMS sends one message to many contacts at once — ideal for promotions, reminders, or urgent updates.

Step 1: Select the audience

  1. Open Contacts → Smart Lists.
  2. Apply filters (tags, business name, source, etc.).
  3. Tick checkboxes to select recipients.

Step 2: Open the Bulk SMS window

Click the SMS icon in the top toolbar.

Step 3: Choose the sending number

From the From Phone Number dropdown, pick the number to send from. Leave it blank to use the last number used per contact or the account default.

Step 4: Compose the message

Type the message or pick a saved template from SMS Templates. Use custom fields, emojis, or attachments to personalize.

Step 5: Pick a delivery method

  • Send All at Once — everyone gets it immediately.
  • Send at Scheduled Time — pick a specific date and time.
  • Send in Drip Mode — batches over time for better deliverability.

Drip Mode options:

  • Start Date & Time — when sending begins
  • Messages per Batch — how many contacts per batch
  • Repeat After — delay between batches (minutes, hours, or days)
  • Send On — specific weekdays
  • Time Window — allowed sending hours in account timezone
  • End At — latest send time per day; pending messages resume next day

Step 6: Send

Click Send SMS. The campaign queues and processes automatically.

Step 7: Track results

Go to Contacts → Bulk Actions for status and metrics: sent, delivered, failed, skipped. Click Show Stats for carrier responses and failure reasons.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don't pick a From phone number?
Sparkforge uses the last number used for that contact, or falls back to the account's primary number.
Can I cancel a scheduled bulk SMS?
Already-sent messages can't be canceled. For scheduled or drip sends in progress, contact support immediately.
How does Drip Mode handle time zones?
Drip Mode uses your account's local time zone. Time Window and End At settings apply in that zone.
Will unsubscribed contacts get bulk SMS?
No. Sparkforge automatically skips unsubscribed and DND contacts to keep your sending compliant.
Why does the email domain need to be verified?
A verified domain proves you own the sending address, improves inbox placement, and protects your sender reputation. Without it, messages frequently land in spam.
