Certificate Builder Permissions and Undo/Redo in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Certificates can now be enabled per sub-account through location-level permissions. The builder also supports undo/redo plus keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl/Cmd+Z and Ctrl/Cmd+S.

Certificates in Sparkforge are now controlled at the sub-account (location) level, so you can grant or revoke access for each user without touching agency-wide settings. The builder also gained undo/redo and keyboard shortcuts to speed up template work.

Toggle certificate access per user

Open the sub-account user permissions panel and toggle the Certificates module on for any user that needs to build, edit, or issue certificates. Users without the permission won't see the module at all.

Undo and redo in the builder

The certificate builder now keeps a full edit history. Step backward through changes when something goes wrong, or step forward again after experimenting. This makes layout work safer — you can try a change without rebuilding from scratch if you don't like it.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • Ctrl/Cmd + Z — undo the last edit
  • Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + Z — redo
  • Ctrl/Cmd + S — save the template

Shortcuts work anywhere inside the builder canvas. They cover preview, save, and undo/redo so you rarely need to leave the keyboard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I enable certificate access for a user?
Open sub-account user permissions and toggle the Certificates module on for the specific user. The change takes effect on their next login.
Does undo/redo persist after I close the builder?
No. The undo/redo history is per editing session. Once you close the builder, the history clears — only the saved version is kept.
What does Ctrl/Cmd + S do in the builder?
It saves the current state of the certificate template, the same as clicking the Save button in the toolbar.
Are there limits on how many undo steps I can take?
The builder retains a deep edit history within a session, so you can step back through most changes you've made since opening the template.
