How to Customize Social Planner Posts Per Channel in Sparkforge
The Customize for Each Post toggle in Sparkforge Social Planner lets you write different copy for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and GMB in one composer — respecting each platform's character limit and media format.
Sparkforge Social Planner has a per-channel customization toggle. Pick multiple platforms in one post, flip the toggle, and write distinct copy for each — Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile (GBP) — without creating separate posts for every channel.
What you can do
- Multiple platforms in one composer — Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, GBP.
- Per-channel content with character limits respected on each.
- Toggle between unified copy (same for every channel) and customized copy (different per channel).
- Content AI integration to generate copy up to ~900 words and adapt size per platform.
- Schedule immediately or queue for later.
How to use it
- Go to Marketing → Social Planner in the sidebar.
- Click Create New Post.
- Select multiple social channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, GBP, etc.). The Customize toggle only appears once you have at least two channels selected.
- Toggle on Customize for Each Post.
- Write content for each channel, adhering to that platform's character limit.
- Add media (image or video) per channel as needed.
- Optional: use Content AI to generate or resize copy.
- Click Post or Schedule.
Character limits by channel
| Channel | Character limit |
|---|---|
| Facebook (pages and groups) | 5,000 |
| Instagram profiles | 2,200 |
| LinkedIn (pages and profiles) | 3,000 |
| GMB / Google Business Profile | 1,500 |
Media gotchas
- If media is still uploading, switching social accounts can discard the in-progress upload.
- If media is still uploading, toggling the Customize switch can also drop the upload.
- If a video thumbnail is processing, switching accounts or toggling Customize can interrupt thumbnail processing — you may need to reapply the thumbnail.
Important
If you turn the Customize toggle off after writing channel-specific content, the active social channel's content overrides everything else for all selected channels — and the customized content for the others is lost. Sparkforge will warn you before this happens.
