How to Create Hashtag Groups in Sparkforge Social Planner

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Save reusable hashtag sets in Sparkforge Social Planner so you can drop the same group into any post. Maximum is 30 hashtags per post.

Hashtag groups in Sparkforge Social Planner let you save a named set of hashtags once and reuse it across every post. No more pasting the same 15 tags each time.

Create a hashtag group

  1. Open Marketing → Social Planner.
  2. Click Create New Post.
  3. In the post composer, click the # hashtag icon.
  4. Give the set a name (for example, Local SEO or Product Launch).
  5. Add the hashtags you want included. Up to 30 hashtags per post is the platform limit.
  6. Click Save and Apply.

Reuse a saved group

When you create a new post, click the hashtag icon and pick a saved group from the dropdown. The hashtags append to your post body. You can mix and match groups or add one-off tags on top.

Hashtag limits

The 30-hashtag cap is a per-post limit, not a per-group limit. If a saved group already has 30 tags, you can't add more inline. Trim the group or pick a smaller set.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many hashtag groups can I save?
There's no documented cap on the number of saved groups. Build as many as you need for different topics, campaigns, or platforms.
Do hashtag groups work across all platforms?
Yes. The saved set appends to whatever post you're composing, regardless of which connected channel it goes to. Trim platforms that don't use hashtags well (LinkedIn) before publishing.
Can I edit a hashtag group after I save it?
Yes. Open the hashtag picker, choose the group, and update the name or tags. Save the changes to update every future use.
What happens if I exceed 30 hashtags?
The platform caps at 30 per post. Sparkforge will not append additional tags beyond that limit.
