How to Connect LinkedIn Profiles and Pages in Sparkforge
Connect LinkedIn to Sparkforge from Marketing > Social Planner > Settings > Connect Social. Tokens last about 60 days; reconnect when prompted to keep posting uninterrupted.
Connecting LinkedIn to Sparkforge lets you schedule and publish posts to personal profiles or company pages directly from Social Planner. Tokens are valid roughly 60 days — Sparkforge prompts a reconnect when they expire.
Before you start
- You need admin access on the LinkedIn Page you want to connect.
- For LinkedIn ads, your account needs Super Admin or Campaign Manager access on the ad account.
- Tokens last ~60 days. After that, you'll see a Reconnect prompt.
Steps to connect
- Go to Marketing > Social Planner.
- Click the gear icon (top right) to open Social Planner settings.
- In the Social Accounts tab, click + Connect Social.
- Select Connect LinkedIn from the popup.
- Sign in with your LinkedIn credentials.
- Click Allow to authorize Sparkforge.
- Choose the LinkedIn profile or company page to connect, then click Add.
- Confirm the account shows as Connected in Social Accounts.
If your ad account doesn't appear
After a successful connection, missing ad accounts usually mean one of three things:
- The ad account is archived or suspended — reactivate it in Campaign Manager.
- You haven't accepted LinkedIn's Marketing Developer Terms in Campaign Manager.
- Your LinkedIn role isn't Super Admin or Campaign Manager on that ad account.
Handling expired or broken connections
If the token expires, click the Reconnect prompt and reauthorize. If you see Permissions Missing, your LinkedIn role lacks admin rights or you didn't grant full permissions during the OAuth flow. Update your role, clear cache or use incognito, and reconnect.
