How to Connect Facebook Pages to Sparkforge Social Planner

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Open Social Planner settings, click Connect a new Facebook page, grant every requested permission, and tick the pages you want. You must be a page admin on each one.

Social Planner publishes posts and replies to Facebook pages from inside Sparkforge. To connect, you need admin rights on every page you want to manage. Personal profiles are no longer supported by Facebook's API — only pages.

Before you start

  • You must be an admin on every page you plan to connect.
  • Sign in to Facebook with the profile that owns or admins those pages.
  • If you have already connected pages from a different profile and want to add new ones, first remove the Sparkforge app from Facebook Settings → Business Integrations, then redo the connect flow.

Step 1: Open Social Planner settings

Go to Social Planner and click the gear icon in the top right.

Step 2: Connect a new Facebook page

In the integration table, click Connect a new Facebook page. Sparkforge supports multiple pages under one connection.

Step 3: Grant all permissions

Facebook prompts you to authorize the integration. Click Continue and approve every requested permission. Skipping content or insight permissions causes pages to disappear from the list later.

Step 4: Pick the pages

Facebook shows every page you admin. Tick the ones you want to connect to Social Planner.

Step 5: Verify the connection

The selected pages appear in the integration table with a successful connection state. Repeat the flow with another Facebook profile if you need pages from multiple accounts.

If a page is missing from the list

The most common cause is that the original connecting user did not authorize all pages. Open Facebook Settings → Business Integrations → Sparkforge, click View and Edit, tick the missing pages, save, and reconnect inside Social Planner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I connect a personal Facebook profile?
No. Facebook's API only supports pages now. Convert your profile to a page or admin an existing page to publish through Sparkforge.
Do I need to be an admin on every page?
Yes. Editor and moderator roles do not have the API permissions Sparkforge needs. Promote the connecting user to admin first.
How do I add new pages after the first connection?
Remove the Sparkforge app from Facebook Business Integrations, then run the connect flow again. Facebook only requests page selection on a fresh authorization.
What if my pages live on multiple Facebook profiles?
Run the connect flow once per profile. Sparkforge tracks the pages from each profile separately under the same Social Planner.
