Auto-Optimize Images for Social Media Scheduling in Sparkforge
Sparkforge Social Planner now ships with Media Optimization, which automatically resizes, reformats, and compresses images to match each platform's requirements before posting. Toggle it on per post or manage it from the Settings tab.
Sparkforge Social Planner ships with built-in Media Optimization. When you upload an image, the planner checks it against each destination platform's requirements and adjusts format, size, aspect ratio, and dimensions on publish.
What Media Optimization fixes
- Format — converts unsupported formats to JPEG, PNG, or GIF as required by the destination.
- File size — compresses images that exceed per-platform limits.
- Aspect ratio — adjusts ratios outside Instagram's supported 4:5 to 1.91:1 range.
- Dimensions — scales images that fall outside platform minimums or maximums.
How to use it
- Click New Post in Social Planner.
- Upload your image. The Media Optimization toggle appears next to the upload.
- Leave it on (default) to auto-fix issues. Turn it off to keep the original media untouched.
- You can also manage the default in the Settings tab.
Optimization runs at publish time, not in preview. The preview reflects your uploaded file; the live post reflects the optimized version.

Why this matters for operators
Image errors at publish time are one of the most common reasons scheduled posts fail. Auto-optimization removes the guesswork so a single source image can post to every channel without manual resizing.
