How to Add Multiple Watermarks in Sparkforge Social Planner

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge Social Planner lets you upload one watermark per connected social account, set opacity and alignment, and apply it automatically to image posts at publish time. Video, RSS, and Review posts are not supported.

Watermarks protect your images and keep posts on-brand. Sparkforge Social Planner lets you assign a different watermark to each connected social account, so multi-brand teams don't have to re-upload graphics.

What a watermark does

A watermark is a translucent logo or text overlaid on an image at publish time. Use it for:

  • Asserting ownership and copyright on original images.
  • Brand recognition across platforms.
  • Discouraging unauthorized re-use.
  • Adding professional polish to creative work.
  • Promotion — drop a website URL, social handle, or campaign hashtag onto every image.

Upload and assign a watermark

Step 1: Open the Watermark settings

  1. Sign into your sub-account.
  2. Go to Marketing > Social Planner > Settings.
  3. Click the Watermark tab.

If you've never added a watermark, you'll see a Try It Now prompt. If you previously had a single watermark, it appears in the list as All Socials and can be edited or replaced.

Step 2: Upload

  1. Click + Add Watermark.
  2. Give the watermark a name.
  3. Upload a PNG or JPG. Minimum 200x200 px, max 5 MB.

Step 3: Style it

  • Adjust Alignment (corner or center).
  • Adjust Opacity.
  • Use Scale to resize.
  • Use Auto Padding to add space around the logo.

Step 4: Assign to accounts

  1. Pick All connected accounts or specific ones.
  2. Click Create.

Step 5: Manage existing watermarks

  • View all watermarks in a list.
  • Edit to rename or replace the file.
  • Delete when retired.

Important notes

  • New posts created after assignment use the latest watermark.
  • Editing or cloning an older post shows the original (un-watermarked) image. The watermark applies after saving.
  • Category Queue posts pick up the new assigned watermark.
  • RSS posts and Review posts do not support watermarks.
  • Video watermarking is not supported (API restriction).
  • For automated posts (Category Queue and Recurring), the new watermark applies starting with the next scheduled post.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I apply more than one watermark to the same social account?
No. Each connected social account can have one assigned watermark at a time.
What happens if I delete a watermark that's already assigned?
The affected social accounts reset to no watermark until you assign a new one.
Do watermarks work on video posts?
No. Video watermarking isn't supported because of platform API restrictions. Image posts only.
Will changing assignments update posts I've already scheduled?
No. Already-scheduled posts keep their original media. Only future publishes pick up the change.
What file formats and sizes work?
PNG or JPG. Minimum 200x200 px, maximum 5 MB.
How does bulk CSV scheduling decide which watermark to use?
It uses the per-social assignment that's active for each account at the moment the post publishes.
