Connect Google Business Profile to Sparkforge Social Planner
Open Social Planner settings, click Connect a new Google Business Profile, sign in with the Gmail account that owns the listing, and pick the locations you want to manage.
Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) is the highest-trust local listing your customers see. Connecting it to Sparkforge Social Planner lets you publish updates, manage multiple locations, and keep listing activity tied to your CRM.
Step 1: Open Social Planner settings
Go to Social Planner. Click the gear icon in the top right corner to open Settings.
Step 2: Connect a new Google Business Profile location
In the integration table, click Connect a new Google My Business profile. Sparkforge supports multiple GMB locations under one connection.
Step 3: Pick the Gmail account
If this is the first profile you are connecting, Google asks which Gmail account to use. Pick the account that has manager or owner access to the listings.
Step 4: Select the locations
Sparkforge lists every location available to that Gmail account. Tick the ones you want to manage in Social Planner.
Common connection errors
- Location already added: the location is connected under another profile in the same sub-account.
- This location belongs to a chain. The Local Post API is disabled: Google blocks Local Post API access on chain accounts with more than 10 locations. There is no workaround at the API level — manage chain posts directly in Google.
Where Social Planner lives
Social Planner is available in the new Sparkforge UI. It is a single composer for posting to Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X from one queue.
