Assets Protected Snapshots in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Assets Protected Snapshots flag specific assets so they can't be re-shared or duplicated when a downstream sub-account creates a new snapshot. Enable the option when you generate the share link.

Snapshots are how complex assets like workflows and funnels get shared and resold. Without protection, anyone receiving a snapshot can repackage and re-sell those assets. Assets Protected Snapshots block that.

Why this matters

Builders invest real time in workflows and funnels and sell them through snapshots. Without protection, a buyer can build their own snapshot from a sub-account and re-share your assets. Asset protection prevents that downstream duplication.

Generate a protected share link

  1. Open the Snapshot Share Modal in your Sparkforge account.
  2. Check Enable Assets Protection.
  3. Generate the share link.

What happens downstream

When someone tries to create a new snapshot from a sub-account that contains protected assets, the snapshot create modal lists every asset it will include and flags any marked Restricted (Assets Protected). Restricted assets are excluded from the new snapshot.

Create a snapshot from a sub-account with protected assets

  1. Open the Snapshot Create Modal.
  2. Review the asset list.
  3. Note any assets flagged Restricted (Assets Protected). They will not be included.
  4. Create the snapshot with the remaining assets.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Assets Protected Snapshot actually block?
It blocks downstream re-sharing. A sub-account that received protected assets can't include those assets in a new snapshot it creates.
Was this called something else before?
Yes. The feature was previously called IP Protected. Same behavior, clearer name.
How do I see which assets in a sub-account are protected?
Open the Snapshot Create Modal in the sub-account. The asset list flags any restricted assets so you can see what is excluded.
Can a buyer still use the protected workflows?
Yes. They get full use of the assets inside their sub-account. They just cannot re-export them in a new snapshot.
