Version History and Restore for Sparkforge Workflows

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Version History stores up to 10 versions or 30 days of workflow saves. Restore any version as a new draft, with the live workflow untouched until you publish.

Version History is the timeline of saved states for every Sparkforge workflow. Each entry shows the editor, timestamp, and whether the version was a draft or published build. Roll back without re-building anything.

What's tracked

  • Up to 10 versions or 30 days of saved states
  • Editor name and timestamp on every entry
  • Status (Draft or Published) for each version
  • Clean sidebar UI with chronological labels (v12, v13, v14...)

How to restore a version

  1. Open the workflow.
  2. Click Version History in the sidebar.
  3. Filter by editor or scroll to the version you want.
  4. Click Restore next to that version.
  5. The version reopens as a new draft. Review and click Publish when ready.

Create a new workflow from a past version

From the Version History sidebar, you can spin off a previous version into a brand-new workflow. Use this when you want to test changes without disturbing the original.

How it fits with Auto Save and Undo/Redo

  • Auto Save captures ongoing edits to draft.
  • Undo/Redo and Recent Changes handle in-session reversals.
  • Version History handles cross-session restores up to 30 days back.
