Manual SMS Workflow Action in Sparkforge
The Manual SMS action queues a task for a user to send a personalized text to a contact. The task lands in Conversations > Manual Actions for review before sending.
The Manual SMS action creates a task that requires human review before a text goes out. Use it when the message needs a personal touch — a follow-up to a hot lead, a custom quote, or an apology — instead of a fully automated send.
What it does
When a contact hits this step in a workflow, Sparkforge generates a manual task. The assigned user opens it in Conversations > Manual Actions, picks a template or writes from scratch, swaps in custom values, and sends.

Where the task shows up
Tasks land in Conversations > Manual Actions. The assigned user reviews, edits if needed, and sends. If the assigned user can't see the contact, the task falls to the contact owner or goes Unassigned.
When to use it
- High-value lead follow-up that deserves a human read.
- Quotes or estimates that vary per contact.
- Apologies or service-recovery messages.
- Any time templated automation feels too cold.
