How to Use the Send SMS Action in Sparkforge Workflows
The Send SMS workflow action delivers automated text messages with merge fields, optional attachment URLs, and a test number. Use it for appointment reminders, promos, order updates, and event notifications.
The Send SMS action delivers a text message when a Sparkforge workflow reaches the step. SMS gets read fast — useful for appointment reminders, last-minute updates, and time-sensitive offers.
What it does
The action sends a personalized text triggered by workflow conditions, schedules, or events. Customize the body with merge fields like {{contact.first_name}} and include URLs to documents, maps, or tickets.
When to use it
- Appointment reminders — cut no-shows.
- Promotional campaigns — short offers that need to land in front of the customer.
- Order updates — shipped, delivered, ready for pickup.
- Event notifications — schedule changes or cancellations.
