Voice AI Outbound Calling Compliance in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge runs every Voice AI outbound call through automated compliance: KYC, documented opt-in, DND, rate limits (10/min, 1,000/day per location), per-number caps, and a 10 AM–6 PM call window in the contact's time zone. Non-compliant calls reject before dialing and don't consume credits.

Voice AI outbound calling in Sparkforge runs every call through an automated compliance engine before dialing. The checks cover Know-Your-Customer (KYC), opt-in language, DND, rate limits, call hours, and country boundaries. If a call fails any rule, it's rejected before dialing — no minutes billed.

Location compliance

Calls only originate from locations that have explicitly enabled outbound AI calling and completed KYC. Any location missing either requirement is blocked.

Contact compliance

Before dialing, the system confirms:

  • Documented opt-in (currently captured via Sparkforge forms).
  • No Do-Not-Disturb flag on the voice channel.
  • No previous opt-out from the contact.

Non-compliant contacts trigger an immediate call rejection.

Rate, daily, and per-number limits

  • Rate: 10 calls per minute per location (one every 6 seconds).
  • Daily: Maximum 1,000 calls per location. Excess calls reschedule for the next eligible day automatically.
  • Per-number: One call per phone number per day, with no more than 14 calls in any 14-day period.
  • Country boundary: Domestic (same-country) numbers only. International calls aren't supported at launch.

Call hours

Outbound calls fire only between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM in the contact's phone-number time zone — stricter than the FTC's 8 AM–9 PM telemarketing rule. Sparkforge calculates the zone automatically and blocks calls outside the window.

Real-time scanning

When you click Enable Outbound Calls, Sparkforge:

  1. Runs KYC instantly.
  2. Scans your latest Terms & Conditions (starting with forms) for valid consent wording.
  3. Surfaces missing opt-in text so you can update assets before calling.

Scans repeat in the background as consent language evolves.

What happens to rejected calls

Rejections occur before dialing, so no Voice AI minutes or credits are billed on a failed compliance check. Excess daily calls reschedule automatically; opt-out and DND failures stop dialing for that contact entirely.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the call window 10 AM–6 PM instead of the federal 8 AM–9 PM?
Sparkforge enforces a tighter window to account for stricter state-level rules and reduce consumer complaints. Compliance fails fewer audits with the narrower window.
What happens if I exceed the daily call cap?
Calls beyond 1,000 per location are scheduled automatically for the next eligible day. No manual rescheduling needed.
How does Sparkforge verify opt-ins collected outside its forms?
At launch, automated checks focus on Sparkforge forms. For external-source contacts, confirm written consent manually before adding them to outbound lists.
Can I disable individual compliance rules?
No. All rules are mandatory to maintain Voice AI outbound calling eligibility on your account.
Will rejected calls consume credits?
No. Compliance rejections happen before dialing, so no minutes or credits are billed.
Are international outbound calls supported?
Not yet. Voice AI outbound is restricted to domestic numbers at launch.
