Voice AI Granular Permissions in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Voice AI granular permissions in Sparkforge use four toggles to separate who can manage agents, edit goals, view goals, and see the dashboard. Settings live in My Staff at the sub-account level.

Granular permissions for Sparkforge Voice AI agents give account owners precise control over who can view, configure, and analyze AI voice agents. Use them to protect agent logic and to keep team scopes clean as you onboard new roles.

What the permissions cover

Four toggles separate the parts of the Voice AI experience: agent management, goal configuration, goal visibility, and dashboard visibility. The setup avoids the all-or-nothing model and lets you decide who creates agents, who tunes goals, and who reads performance data.

  • Control who can view or manage agents.
  • Define access to goal configuration.
  • Separate dashboard visibility from editing privileges.

Configure the permissions

Step 1: Open My Staff

  1. From the sub-account, click Settings in the lower left.
  2. In the side nav, select My Staff.
  3. Locate the staff member and click the pencil icon to edit.

Step 2: Find AI Agents settings

  1. In the secondary nav, click Roles and Permissions.
  2. Scroll to AI Agents.

Step 3: Set the toggles

  • AI Agents (parent control)
  • View & Manage Voice AI Agents
  • View Voice AI Agent Goals
  • View & Manage Voice AI Agent Goals
  • View Voice AI Dashboard

Step 4: Save

Click the blue Save button to apply changes.

Permission types explained

View & Manage Voice AI Agents

Best for users who create, edit, and delete agents.

  • Enabled: full access to create, edit, and delete agents; assign phone numbers; configure behavior; enables the dependent goal permissions.
  • Disabled: the Voice AI Agents list is hidden; users cannot create or modify agents; goal-related permissions also disable. Dashboard access is unaffected.

View Voice AI Agent Goals (read-only)

Suitable for support or training roles that need awareness without edit rights.

  • Enabled: read-only access to the Agent Goals tab.
  • Disabled: the Goals tab is hidden; no visibility into agent configuration.

View & Manage Voice AI Agent Goals

For advanced users handling AI logic and workflows.

  • Enabled: configure knowledge base, post-call workflows, data extraction, and advanced actions in both basic and advanced goal modes.
  • Disabled: Agent Goals tab hidden during edits; users can still set goals at agent creation but cannot update them later. Required to upgrade to the new Voice AI experience.

View Voice AI Dashboard

For supervisors and analysts.

  • Enabled: access to performance dashboards for test and live calls, including transcripts, summaries, recordings, and metrics.
  • Disabled: hides the dashboard globally and inside agent detail views, preventing exposure of call logs and metrics.

Navigation visibility and live enforcement

  • Users without Voice AI permissions do not see Voice AI navigation entries in the AI Agents area or the Settings sidebar.
  • If permissions are revoked while a user is mid-action, Sparkforge blocks further actions and shows a Permission Denied message.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Voice AI permissions set at the agency or sub-account?
Granular Voice AI permissions are configured per sub-account in Settings → My Staff for each user.
Can I copy a permission set between users?
Yes. In My Staff, open the user, click Copy Permission in the top right, and select the source user. This copies all permissions, not only Voice AI.
Why is the Goals tab hidden for one of my users?
If View & Manage Voice AI Agent Goals is disabled, the Goals tab is hidden during edits. The user can still set goals at agent creation but cannot update them later.
Does removing the dashboard permission also block agent management?
No. Dashboard visibility is independent. A user can manage agents without seeing performance data, or vice versa.
What happens if I revoke permissions while a user is using Voice AI?
Sparkforge enforces changes in real time. The user is blocked from further actions and sees a Permission Denied message.
