How to Create a Voice AI Agent in Sparkforge
Create a Voice AI agent in Sparkforge under AI Agents → Voice AI: configure name, voice, LLM, knowledge base, post-call actions, phone number, and working hours, then test with a Web Call or Phone Call.
Voice AI agents in Sparkforge field inbound and outbound calls so your team can focus on warm leads and closes. Setup happens under AI Agents → Voice AI with role-based access. If you don’t see Voice AI, an admin needs to grant the permission.
Create the agent
- Log in to your sub-account.
- Open AI Agents → Voice AI.
- Click + Create Agent.
- Choose Create from scratch or pick a prebuilt agent from the Marketplace.
- Click Continue.
Agent Details tab
- Agent Name — for example, "Customer Support Bot"
- Business Name — confirm or update
- Voice — preview voices and pick one
- Timezone — your business timezone
- LLM — your preferred model
- Advanced Settings — call settings, agent behavior, transcription, and voice settings
- Greeting Message — the first thing the agent says on inbound and outbound calls, plus wait time before speaking
Agent Goals tab
Two modes: Basic and Advanced. The View vs Manage permission controls whether you can edit goals or just view them.
Basic Mode
Simplifies setup with no prompting required. Pick a knowledge base, choose what info to collect (name, email, address, issue), choose a post-call workflow, and set email recipients for call notifications.
Advanced Mode
Full control with prompts, custom values, and a prompt evaluator. The prompt editor toolbar supports Undo, Redo, Custom Value insertion, and Evaluate. Keyboard shortcuts: Cmd/Ctrl+Z for undo, Cmd+Shift+Z or Ctrl+Y for redo.
Configure post-call actions:
- Call transfer to a human agent
- Trigger a workflow
- Send SMS
- Update contact fields
- Appointment booking
- Custom action
- Add MCP (Beta)
Workflow triggers and email notifications
Trigger one or many workflows after a call ends. If Voice AI Translation is on, post-call outputs include a translated summary and transcript that workflows can consume.
Email notifications include the call summary, contact info, transcript, and actions taken.
Phone & Availability tab
Assign the agent to one or more sub-account phone numbers. When those numbers are called, the agent answers. Set working hours to constrain when the agent handles calls.
Test before launch
- In the Phone & Availability step, find Test Your Agent on the right.
- Choose Phone Call or Web Call.
- Pick scenario (Inbound or Outbound).
- Enter your phone number and click Call Me to receive a test call.
Review Call History, transcripts, recordings, and summaries to refine behavior.
Make an inbound agent reachable
Phone number with click-to-call
- Edit the agent.
- Open Phone & Availability and assign a Sparkforge Phone or Twilio number.
- Configure inbound call flow and incoming call settings.
- Share the number anywhere — site, GBP, social, signature.
- For mobile click-to-call, use a tel: link, for example
Call Our AI Assistant.
Edit or delete agents
Open the actions menu on an agent and pick Edit or Delete. Deletion is permanent. To keep the prompt and pause the agent instead, remove the assigned phone number — the agent goes dormant without losing config.
