How to Set Up Voice AI Outbound Calling in Sparkforge
Voice AI Outbound Calling places automated calls from inside a Sparkforge workflow action. You must register and be approved first, then add the Voice AI Outbound Call action to a workflow and pick an agent and from-number.
Voice AI Outbound Calling places automated calls from inside Sparkforge workflow actions. The same agent can handle inbound and outbound calls, and the platform enforces scheduling and frequency thresholds so you do not flood contacts.
Registration is required first
Before Outbound Voice AI works, you must register and be approved. Navigate to AI Agents > Voice AI and click Enable Outbound Calls to begin registration.
Outbound call rules
- Calls go out at 10 per minute per location (one every 6 seconds).
- Each location can place up to 1,000 calls per day. Overflow defers to the next day.
- A contact's phone number can be called once per day, capped at 14 calls in 2 weeks. Calls beyond the cap fail.
- Calls only go out between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM in the contact's phone-number timezone.
- The contact must be opted in, with DND off, and on a domestic (same-country) number.
- The location must have outbound calling enabled and KYC complete.
Set up Voice AI Outbound Calling
Step 1: Create or open a workflow
Outbound Voice AI calling can only happen from inside a workflow. Navigate to Automation in your sub-account and create a new workflow with + Create Workflow, or open an existing one.
Step 2: Add the Voice AI Outbound Call action
Click the + icon to add a workflow action. Search for Voice AI Outbound Call and add it.
Step 3: Configure the action
- Action Name — a short description of what the action does.
- AI Agent — pick the agent who will run the call. The same agent can handle inbound and outbound, but make sure your prompts differentiate the two.
- From Phone Number — the number the agent calls from. Add a phone number to your account first if needed.
Step 4: Save, publish, and test
Save the workflow. Add yourself to it and let the agent call your personal phone before turning it loose on real contacts.
Safe testing pattern
Build an internal test segment (tag contacts something like QA-VoiceAI), point the workflow only at that segment, and verify the call flow before broadening the audience.
