Undo, Redo, and Recent Changes in Sparkforge Workflows
Undo, Redo, and Recent Changes give you in-session control over canvas edits in the Sparkforge Workflow Builder. Reverse mistakes with shortcuts or jump back to a specific edit.
Sparkforge tracks every auto-saved canvas edit during your editing session. Use Undo, Redo, and Recent Changes to step back, replay, or jump to a specific point without touching Version History.
Undo and Redo controls
- Toolbar buttons for Undo and Redo on the workflow canvas
- Windows: Ctrl + Z to undo, Ctrl + Y to redo
- macOS: Cmd + Z to undo, Cmd + Y or Cmd + Shift + Z to redo
Undo reverses the most recent tracked canvas action. Redo reapplies it.
Recent Changes
The Recent Changes panel lists your edits in order. Click any entry to jump the canvas to that state. Use it to compare before-and-after or to roll back several steps at once.
Session behavior
- Tracking starts when you open the workflow and resets when you close the tab.
- Recent Changes is in-session only. For long-term recovery, use Version History.
- Undo and Redo apply to canvas actions, not configuration inside an action's side panel.
When to use which tool
- Undo/Redo: small, immediate fixes
- Recent Changes: jump back several steps or compare states
- Version History: restore a published or draft version from a prior day
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Undo and Redo permanent?
They affect the current draft of the workflow. Live workflows don't change until you publish. Reload or close the tab and the in-session history clears.
Why isn't my edit in Recent Changes?
Recent Changes tracks canvas edits. Configuration changes inside an action's side panel are saved separately when you click Save Action.
What's the keyboard shortcut for Redo on a Mac?
Cmd + Y or Cmd + Shift + Z. Both reapply the most recent undone action.
How is this different from Version History?
Recent Changes is your in-session edit trail. Version History stores up to 10 saved versions across sessions for longer-term restore.
