Workflow Trigger Narration and Statistics in Sparkforge
Trigger Narration prints each Sparkforge workflow trigger's filter logic in plain language right on the card. Trigger Stats shows attempted, matched, and unmatched counts plus contact-level reasons for the last 30 days.
Two upgrades make Sparkforge workflow triggers easier to read and debug: Trigger Narration describes what each trigger does in plain language, and Trigger Stats shows how many contacts attempted, matched, or were rejected — with per-contact reasons.
Why this matters
When a workflow has filters or multiple trigger paths, it can be hard to tell why a contact enrolled — or didn't. Narration removes the guesswork on logic. Stats removes the guesswork on data.
- Visibility: see which triggers actually drive enrollments.
- Performance analysis: spot top-performing or unused triggers.
- Error detection: find triggers that silently fail because of a filter mismatch.
- Optimization: change configuration based on real numbers, not guesses.
Trigger Narration
Each trigger card shows a readable summary of its filters and conditions, right below the trigger name. For complex filters, you'll see a compact summary plus a +X more link. Click Details to open the full filter list.
This pays off most during audits, handoffs, and reviews of large canvases — you don't have to open every trigger to recall what it does.
Trigger Stats
Trigger Stats lives inside the Workflow Builder's Stats view. For each trigger you see:
- Attempted — total contacts evaluated.
- Matched — contacts that met all conditions.
- Unmatched — contacts that didn't qualify.
Click any number to open the Trigger Stats Panel and drill into:
- Contact name, email, and timestamp.
- Match status.
- Reason for unmatch — for example, value mismatch or missing field.
- Filters by date range and contact search.
Limits to know
- Workflows are not editable in Stats view — switch back to the editable canvas to make changes.
- Stats cover the last 30 days.
