How to Copy or Delete Triggers in Workflows

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

In Sparkforge Workflows, copy any trigger to duplicate it with all logic intact, or delete a trigger directly from the canvas — both via the trigger card's three-dot menu.

Sparkforge Workflows let you duplicate any trigger with all of its logic intact, or delete one straight from the canvas. Both actions live in the trigger card's three-dot menu, so you don't have to open the trigger to manage it.

What's New

  • One-click copy — duplicate any trigger with all filters and conditions preserved.
  • Auto-naming — copies are labeled Copy of [Trigger Name].
  • One-click delete — remove a trigger from the canvas without opening it.
  • Cleaner builds — fewer mouse clicks, fewer manual rebuilds, fewer mistakes.

How to Copy a Trigger

  1. Click the three-dot menu on the trigger card.
  2. Select Copy.
  3. A new trigger appears labeled Copy of [Trigger Name].
  4. Edit filters or conditions as needed.
  5. Click Save.

You can copy the same trigger multiple times and tweak each one for different segments or branches.

How to Delete a Trigger

  1. Click the three-dot menu on the trigger card.
  2. Select Delete.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

The trigger is removed from the canvas immediately. Deletion is permanent, so confirm before clicking through.

When to Use Each

  • Copy — when two triggers share most of their logic and only differ on a filter, segment, or condition.
  • Delete — when cleaning up test triggers or removing outdated branches from a live workflow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the copied trigger include filters and conditions?
Yes. The duplicate is an exact copy — filters, logic, and configuration all carry over.
Can I rename the copy?
Yes. Open the new trigger and edit the name field to whatever you want.
Will deleting a trigger affect past automation runs?
No. Deleting only removes the trigger from the current workflow. Historical runs and contact records aren't touched.
Is there an undo for deletion?
No. Confirm before deleting — there's no undo today.
Where can I use the copy feature?
On any workflow that uses trigger cards. There are no workflow-type restrictions.
