How to Use the Workflow Template Library in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The Workflow Template Library ships ready-to-use automation recipes you can preview and load into the workflow editor. Faster than building from scratch and based on proven patterns.

The Workflow Template Library gives Sparkforge users a starting point for automations. Pick a template, preview the canvas, and load it into the editor where every action is editable.

Why use templates

  • Skip blank-canvas paralysis — start from a working recipe
  • Templates follow patterns that already work for similar businesses
  • Library grows over time with new recipes
  • Every loaded template is fully editable
  • Useful for onboarding new staff to automation patterns

Open the template library

  1. In the left sidebar, click Automation.
  2. Switch to the Workflows tab.
  3. Click Create Workflow.
  4. Choose Select from Template.

Browse and filter

The Filters panel narrows by category — Lead Nurture, Onboarding, and similar. You can also search by keyword or sort by popularity. Hover any template card for a quick description.

Preview before loading

  1. Click the eye icon or template card to open the preview.
  2. Read the About this Template blurb and check any prerequisites.
  3. Examine the full triggers-and-actions canvas to understand the flow.
  4. Click Continue to load it into the workflow editor.

Customize after loading

Once loaded, edit triggers, actions, delays, and conditions to fit your process. Run a test with a sample contact or tag before activating. Save and switch to Active when you're confident.

Best practices

  • Test in Draft mode with a small contact subset before full activation
  • Bookmark or share template names with teammates so the team uses consistent patterns
  • Check the library periodically — new templates land regularly
