Add Custom Templates to the Template Library

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Agency Admins on the Pro plan can publish custom templates (email, workflow, funnel, website, form, survey, quiz, social post) into the Template Library so sub-accounts can use them.

The Template Library distributes reusable templates to sub-accounts. Agency Admins on the Pro plan can add custom templates across email, workflows, funnels, websites, blogs, stores, forms, surveys, quizzes, and social posts.

Permissions and Requirements

  • Agency must be on the Pro plan.
  • Template Library for Clients must be toggled on under Agency Account > Settings > Company.
  • User must have Agency Admin permissions.

Step 1: Navigate to the Right Product

The Library shows one product type at a time. Start in the product whose template you want to publish.

Marketing

Social posts: Marketing > Social Planner > Content tab > CSV tab. Click the 3-dot menu next to the post and choose Upload to social templates.

Email templates: Marketing > Emails > Templates. Click the 3-dot menu and choose Upload to email templates.

Automation

Workflows: Automation > Workflows. Click the 3-dot menu and choose Upload to Template Library.

Sites

Funnels, Websites, Stores, Blogs, Emails, Forms, Surveys, Quizzes: Sites > [product]. Click the 3-dot menu and choose Upload to [product] templates.

Step 2: Name and Categorize

In the Upload modal, give the template a display name and pick a category. Click Upload.

Step 3: Edit in Admin Mode

You'll land in admin mode where you can configure:

  • Name — display name in the library.
  • Category — where it lives.
  • Preview — what users see in the card.
  • Cover image — thumbnail for the preview card.
  • Tags — searchable keywords (e.g., New Year's, Black Friday).
  • Prerequisites — required integrations or setup (Stripe, email domain, etc.).
  • Short Description — one-liner for the preview card.
  • Long About — full description with use cases, setup notes, best practices.

Step 4: Publish

Click Publish Template. Sub-accounts now see it alongside the default templates in their library.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can manage templates in the library?

Only users with the Agency Admin role.

Is this on every plan?

No. Custom Template Library publishing is Pro plan only at the agency level.

Do source updates flow to the published template?

No. Once you publish to the library, edits to the original source aren't pushed. Update the library version directly.

Can I hide templates already in the library?

Individual templates can't be hidden. Categories can. If a template lives in only one category and that category is hidden, the template disappears from sub-account views.
