Global Custom Colors in Sparkforge Brand Boards

Global Custom Colors in Sparkforge Brand Boards let you save a brand palette once and apply it across emails, funnels, websites, and forms. Updating a saved color updates every design that uses it.

Global Custom Colors are reusable swatches you define under Brand Boards in Sparkforge. Once saved, they appear in the Color Picker across the email builder, page builder, and form builder so every team uses the same brand colors.

How it differs from Design Kit colors

Design Kit colors live inside an individual Brand Board and appear in pickers for quick access. Global Custom Colors are a centrally managed palette that two-way syncs with every applied instance — update the swatch and every design that used it updates too. The Global Custom Colors group only appears in the picker after you create at least one color.

Why use Global Custom Colors

  • Consistency: Same look across every asset.
  • One-edit updates: Change a color once; every design using it updates.
  • Faster rebrands: Clone funnels and emails, then swap the global colors for a new brand.
  • Always in the picker: The palette is available everywhere a color picker exists.
  • Quick import: Pull existing custom values into the palette in one step.

Sync behavior and best practices

  • Two-way sync: Updating a saved global color updates every design that used that swatch.
  • Add at least one color: The Global Custom Colors group surfaces in pickers only after one color exists.
  • Name functionally: Use names like Primary, Secondary, or Accent so the team knows which swatch to apply.
  • Plan rebrands: For big changes, duplicate sensitive designs first, then update global colors so the propagation lands cleanly.

Add, edit, or delete a global color

Add a new global color

  1. Go to Marketing → Brand Boards → Global Settings.
  2. Click + Add, then Add New.
  3. Enter a name (Primary, Accent, Background) and a HEX or RGB value (for example, #1A73E8) or pick from the color picker.
  4. Click Save.

Edit, rename, or delete

From Global Settings in Brand Boards, click the pencil icon to edit or rename a color, or the trash icon to delete it. Deleting removes the swatch from pickers; designs that used it may update to reflect the removal depending on how the builder stores swatches.

Import colors from Custom Values

If you already store brand colors as Custom Values, import them to populate Global Custom Colors. Import copies eligible HEX values into Global Settings.

  1. Confirm Custom Values contain valid color entries (typically HEX like #000000).
  2. Use clear names like Primary_Color or Button_BG for easier mapping.
  3. Go to Marketing → Brand Boards → Global Settings.
  4. Click + Add → Import.
  5. Select the Custom Values that represent colors and click Import. Skip or fix anything that isn’t a valid HEX.

Apply a global color in a builder

Once you have at least one Global Custom Color saved, the group appears in the Color Picker inside emails, funnels and websites, and forms and surveys.

  1. Open the builder and select an element with a color setting (text, button, background, border).
  2. Open the Color Picker.
  3. Click a swatch under Global Custom Colors to apply it.

Click Manage in the Color Picker to jump straight to Global Settings.
