How to Use Inline Editing in Sparkforge Forms, Surveys & Quizzes
Sparkforge's inline editor lets you click any text in a form, survey, or quiz and edit it directly in the live preview. Labels, dropdowns, buttons, and headings update in real time without opening a settings panel.
Sparkforge ships an inline editor inside the form, survey, and quiz builder. Click any text in the live preview, type your change, and it updates instantly. No side panels, no extra clicks.
What you can edit inline
- Text fields: field labels and placeholder text
- Dropdowns: click a dropdown option to rename it
- Checkboxes and radio buttons: update choice labels in place
- Buttons: edit CTA button text directly
- Headings, paragraphs, and Terms & Conditions: formatting toolbar appears on click
Formatting options for text and headings
Click into a Text, Heading, or TnC element to surface the inline toolbar. From there, apply bold, italic, underline, font size, and color. Changes preview immediately so you can confirm brand consistency without writing custom CSS.
Mobile-specific copy
Use the device toggle in the builder to switch to Mobile, then edit the mobile version of any text element. Desktop and mobile copy are stored separately so a mobile edit will not overwrite the desktop version.
How to use inline editing
- Open the form, survey, or quiz from Sites > Forms (or Surveys/Quizzes).
- Click any text element in the preview, including labels, dropdown options, and CTA buttons.
- Type to replace the text. Changes appear immediately in the preview.
- Repeat for any other elements you want to update.
- Click Save to commit the changes, then Publish when you are ready.
When to use the settings panel instead
The settings panel is still available for advanced configuration like conditional logic, validation rules, and field types. Inline editing is for fast copy changes; the settings panel is for structural changes.
