Element and slide cloning lets you duplicate a configured component or full slide inside the Sparkforge Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes builders. Cloning preserves styling, validations, and content so you reuse proven blocks instead of rebuilding from scratch.

What gets copied when you clone

Knowing what carries over helps you plan edits so the new element or slide stays accurate.

  • Styles and layout: fonts, spacing, widths, alignment, themes.
  • Validations: required toggles and validation rules from the original.
  • Content: labels, placeholders, choices, and helper text.
  • Images: source, alignment, and size settings.
  • Slides (Surveys/Quizzes): visual design and layout.

Clone an element in a Form, Survey, or Quiz

  1. Open your Form, Survey, or Quiz in the builder.
  2. Hover over the element you want to duplicate.
  3. Click Clone (the two-rectangle icon). The duplicate appears directly below the original.
  4. Select the cloned element and edit as needed.

Clone a full slide (Surveys and Quizzes only)

Slide cloning duplicates the entire slide canvas — layout, design blocks, and questions — so you can build multi-step flows faster with consistent formatting.

  1. Open your Survey or Quiz in the builder.
  2. Move the cursor to the top-right of the slide.
  3. Click Clone Slide. A duplicate slide is created.
  4. Edit the new slide as needed.

Slide cloning is not available in Forms.

Why cloning helps

  • Speed: one click duplicates an element; slide cloning accelerates multi-step builds.
  • Consistency: spacing, labels, and styles stay identical across repeated sections.
  • Accuracy: validations and required rules carry forward, so settings don't get missed.
