The Social Element is a drag-and-drop block in the Sparkforge Email Builder that adds linked social media icons to any email template. It supports the major platforms and stays consistent across email clients.

What the Social Element does

The block lets you place icons for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), YouTube, TikTok, and Pinterest into the body of your email. Each icon links to your profile URL, and you control the icon style, color, size, alignment, and padding so the block matches your brand.

Icons render through email-optimized assets, so they display reliably in Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, and other major clients.

Add the Social Element to a template

  1. Open Marketing → Emails → Templates in your sub-account.
  2. Open an existing template or click + New.
  3. In the Email Builder, click the Add Elements (+) icon in the left sidebar.
  4. Find Social under the Elements section.
  5. Drag the block into your layout — typically in the header or footer.

Configure icons and links

Click the Social Element to open the Edit panel on the left. From there you can:

  • Add or remove icons for each supported platform.
  • Insert links by pasting the URL for each profile.
  • Customize appearance — size, shape, spacing, full color or monochrome.
  • Align icons left, center, or right.
  • Add padding above or below the row.

Use the Visibility tab if you need device-based visibility or conditional sending rules. Preview on desktop and mobile before saving so the icons display cleanly.

Custom icons

If a platform you need isn’t in the default list, duplicate an existing icon and replace its image and URL with your own logo and link.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which social platforms does the Social Element support?
Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), YouTube, TikTok, and Pinterest are included by default. You can duplicate an icon and swap the image and URL for any other platform.
Do social icons resize on mobile?
Yes. Icons automatically resize and adjust spacing for smaller screens, so the layout stays clean across devices.
Can I show the Social Element only on desktop or only on mobile?
Yes. Open the Visibility tab on the element and use Device-Based Visibility to show or hide the block per device.
Where should I place the Social Element?
Headers and footers are the most common placements. Footers work well because subscribers expect social links there and it keeps the main email body focused.
