How to Show Seats Per Slot on Class Booking Calendars

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Class Booking calendars in Sparkforge can show how many seats remain for each time slot. Enable the toggle in calendar customization, and updated capacity logic keeps overlapping slots accurate.

The Show seats per slot setting on Class Booking calendars displays remaining capacity directly on the public booking widget. Customers see exactly how many seats are left before they pick a time.

What This Does

  • Shows remaining seats per time slot on the booking widget.
  • Improves transparency for high-capacity classes and events.
  • Reduces overbooking confusion when capacity is tight.

Enable Show Seats Per Slot

  1. Open the Class Booking calendar.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Go to Customizations.
  4. Under Calendar Widget Style, toggle Show seats per slot on.
  5. Click Save.

How Capacity Is Calculated

Capacity is set by the Seats per class value in calendar settings. The updated logic works like this:

  • Each confirmed appointment subtracts 1 seat from the slot.
  • If an appointment overlaps multiple slots, only 1 seat is deducted from each affected slot — not the entire slot blocked out.
  • A slot is blocked only when total seat capacity is reached.

This change keeps overlapping appointments from prematurely closing slots that still have real capacity.

Where the Updated Logic Applies

  • Public booking widget
  • In-app appointment modal
  • Personal calendars
  • Round Robin calendars
  • Event calendars

Requirements

  • Calendar type must be Class Booking.
  • Seats per class must be greater than 1.
  • Works with Neo widgets.
