How to Schedule Recurring Appointments on the Sparkforge Mobile App

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The Sparkforge mobile app lets you schedule recurring appointments in two modes: Standard Recurrence respects your calendar availability, while Custom Recurrence creates flexible patterns that bypass availability checks.

Recurring appointments on the Sparkforge mobile app let you schedule a full series of meetings without a laptop. Plan client check-ins, training sessions, or annual reviews directly from your phone, and keep every participant aligned with one tap.

How Recurring Appointments Work

You create one appointment that automatically repeats based on a rule (daily, weekly, monthly, or custom). The mobile Schedule Appointment screen offers two recurrence modes:

  • Standard Recurrence — follows your calendar's preset rules and checks availability for each occurrence.
  • Custom Recurrence — lets you design a custom schedule that bypasses calendar availability.

Benefits

  • Schedule the entire series in one step instead of one appointment at a time
  • Maintain consistent meeting cadence with recurring clients
  • Support flexible patterns like every second Tuesday or weekdays only
  • Modify or cancel an entire series in one action
  • Generate a single Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams link covering all occurrences

Standard Recurrence

Standard Recurrence uses the recurrence rule already configured on your calendar. The system checks each occurrence against availability and only books open slots.

  • Unavailable dates are skipped automatically — no double bookings
  • You see a summary showing which events were booked and which were skipped
  • Best for recurring client sessions, weekly check-ins, and meetings that should respect business hours

Custom Recurrence

Custom Recurrence lets you design a schedule that ignores availability and preset rules.

  • Enable Recurring Appointment under Custom Date & Time
  • Choose how often the appointment repeats (daily, weekly, monthly, or every few days/weeks)
  • Set the end condition: indefinite, after a set number of occurrences, or on a chosen date
  • Best for ad-hoc coaching programs, internal training, and seasonal campaigns

Because Custom Recurrence skips availability checks, overlaps with existing meetings are possible.

Advanced Recurrence Patterns

Advanced patterns sit inside Custom Recurrence and let you build rule-based schedules that go beyond basic repeats.

  • Define intervals like every few days, weeks, or months
  • Select specific days (weekdays only, every second Tuesday)
  • Use rules like "last Friday of each month" or "annual review on a fixed date"
  • Choose whether the series continues indefinitely, ends after N meetings, or stops on a date

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Standard and Custom Recurrence?
Standard Recurrence respects your calendar's availability and skips unavailable slots. Custom Recurrence ignores availability and books strictly according to the rule you define — useful when flexibility matters more than conflict prevention.
Can I create patterns like every second Tuesday?
Yes. Use Custom Recurrence with Advanced Recurrence Patterns. You can target specific weekdays, intervals, or rules like the last Friday of each month.
Will recurring appointments share one video meeting link?
Yes. The system generates a single Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams link that covers all occurrences in the series.
How do I cancel an entire recurring series?
Open any appointment from the series, tap Delete Series, and confirm. The cancellation applies to all future occurrences.
Does Custom Recurrence prevent double bookings?
No. Custom Recurrence bypasses availability checks, so overlaps with existing meetings are possible. Use Standard Recurrence when conflict prevention matters.
