How to Customize the Sparkforge Calendar Widget
Open Calendar Settings, edit the calendar, then use Advanced settings → Widget appearance to set primary color, background color, button text, and which left-panel details to hide. Customizations work only with the NEO widget.
Sparkforge's calendar booking widget is configurable: change colors, button text, and what shows in the left panel. The Continue button moved recently — if you have CSS overrides, double-check placement.
Where to find widget settings
- Go to Calendars → Calendar Settings.
- Click Edit on the calendar you want to customize.
- Open Advanced settings → Widget appearance.
Customizations apply only to the NEO widget. Older widget versions ignore these settings.
What you can change
Primary color
Drives buttons, dates, time slots, staff selection, and the Add Guests action.
Background color
Sets the backdrop for the date-time selector and the form. If you've attached a custom form, its background mirrors this color but field styling stays controlled by the form itself. Match the form theme to the widget for a clean look.
Button text
Replaces the default label on the final booking step. Examples: Book Now, Schedule Meeting, Book Appointment.
Hide calendar details
Hides calendar name, description, duration, date/time, recurring info, and timezone from the left panel. To remove the logo too, delete it from the meeting details tab.
Preview and reset
Click Preview Widget after every change — it doesn't update live. Reset to Default reverts everything to the stock blue-and-white scheme.
Disabling the entire left panel
Hiding the panel takes multiple toggles:
- In Calendar Details: disable Calendar Name, Description, and Details.
- Remove the calendar logo.
- In the Customizations tab: disable Allow Select Staff.
Tips
Pick contrasting primary and background colors. Light-on-dark or dark-on-light reads cleanest. CSS overrides win against widget settings, so if a color won't change, check your stylesheet first.
