Assign a Number Pool to a Voice AI Agent in Sparkforge
Sparkforge Voice AI agents can take calls from a whole number pool — not just one number. Create the pool first, then assign it under the agent's Phone & Availability tab.
Sparkforge Voice AI agents can be assigned a number pool — a set of phone numbers that all route to the same agent based on its configuration. One agent handles every number in the pool, so you don't have to clone agents per line.
Why use a number pool
- One agent, many numbers: handle calls to several phone numbers without spinning up duplicate agents.
- Centralized routing: manage call flow in one place instead of across multiple agent configs.
- Cleaner ops: changes to the agent apply across every number in the pool.
Prerequisite: create at least one number pool before you start. The dropdown in the agent only lists pools that already exist.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to create the number pool first?
Yes. The dropdown on the agent only lists pools that already exist. Create the pool, then assign it.
Can one Voice AI agent handle multiple phone numbers?
Yes. That's the point of a number pool — every number in the pool routes to the same agent.
Can I assign the same number pool to multiple agents?
No. A number pool routes to one agent at a time so the call flow stays predictable.
Where do I configure call routing for the pool?
Routing follows the agent's configuration. Set call flow, transfers, and post-call actions in the agent itself.
