Login As User: Agency Admin Account Switching

Login As User lets agency admins switch into a sub-account user's session without that user's credentials. The agency admin must have the Enable Login As permission on. Audit logs currently record changes under the user, not the admin.

Login As User lets agency admins step into any sub-account user's session to troubleshoot, configure, or respond as that user. No password sharing required.

Who can use it

Agency Admin role only. Other roles do not see the option.
The admin must have Enable Login As turned on under Agency permissions.
By default Enable Login As is on for agency owners and admins. Turn it off per user to hide the option.

How to log in as a user

Click the profile icon in the top right corner.
Click Login As.
Search by name or email, or scroll the list, and pick the user.

You land in the user's session and can make any change that user could make.

How to switch back

Use the switch-account option in the same profile menu to return to the agency admin account without logging out.

Audit log behavior

Changes made while logged in as a user currently record under the user's identity, not the agency admin's. A future release will record both identities on the Audit Log page.

Why do I not see the Login As option?

Either your role is not Agency Admin or the Enable Login As permission is off for your user. An agency owner or admin can turn it on under User Management permissions.

Do audit logs show that I made the change instead of the user?

Not yet. Today the audit log records the change under the user's identity. Anthropic-style dual logging that captures both the admin and the user is on the roadmap.

Can a regular user use Login As?

No. Only Agency Admin role users see the option.

Do I need the user's password?

No. Login As bypasses credentials entirely. Permission control is the gate, not the password.
