By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge Labs is the early-access program for new features. Agency admins enable Agency-level features and assign sub-account features; sub-account admins toggle local features inside their workspace.

Sparkforge Labs is the early-access program for new and evolving features. Use it to test changes, gather feedback, and prepare your team before a feature reaches general availability. Labs has two scopes: Agency-level features and sub-account features.

What Labs gives you

  • Early access to upcoming features so you can plan training and SOPs.
  • Targeted rollout — enable only for selected sub-accounts to run controlled pilots.
  • Direct feedback with screenshots and video to the product team.
  • Risk reduction — validate behavior before enabling for all clients.

Agency Labs vs Sub-Account Labs

Agency Labs

  • Affects: Agency and assigned sub-accounts.
  • Who can enable: Agency Owners and Admins.
  • Where: Agency view → Settings → Labs (Agency / Sub-account tabs).
  • Rollout: Toggle ON at Agency level, then click Manage to assign sub-accounts.

Sub-Account Labs

  • Affects: Only the current sub-account.
  • Who can enable: Sub-account Admins, plus Agency roles working inside the sub-account.
  • Where: Sub-account view → Settings → Labs.
  • Rollout: Toggle ON in the sub-account directly.

How to read a Labs feature card

Each Labs feature appears as a card with these elements:

  • Title and Description — what the feature does.
  • Live in X Days — estimated days to general availability (subject to change).
  • Toggle ON/OFF — enable or disable in the current context.
  • Submit Feedback — direct line to the product team.
  • Change Log, Support Doc, and Media links.
  • Manage (Agency → Sub-account tab only) — assign to specific sub-accounts.

Visibility vs Enablement

Sub-account Labs features have two settings:

  • Visibility — whether the feature card appears in Settings → Labs.
  • Enabled — whether the feature is turned on for that sub-account.

A feature can be visible without being enabled, which lets agencies introduce features for discovery without flipping them on.

Plan differences: Unlimited and Pro plans support visibility defaults and per-sub-account visibility and enablement controls. The Starter plan keeps Labs features visible by default and does not show visibility or enablement controls.

How to enable an Agency-only feature

  1. Log in to your Agency account.
  2. Go to Settings → Labs → Agency tab.
  3. Open the feature card and review the description and release timeline.
  4. Toggle the feature ON.

How to assign a sub-account feature from Agency view

  1. Log in to your Agency account.
  2. Go to Settings → Labs → Sub-account tab.
  3. Open the feature card.
  4. Click Manage and select the sub-account(s) for visibility, enablement, or both.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Switch into the sub-account and refresh the affected area to confirm.

How to enable a sub-account feature directly

  1. In the target sub-account, open Settings → Labs.
  2. Find the feature card and toggle it ON.
  3. Refresh or re-open the affected module to see the change.

How to submit feedback

  1. Open Settings in Agency or sub-account view.
  2. Click Labs.
  3. On the relevant card, click Submit Feedback.
  4. Add a clear subject and message. Attach screenshots or video where useful.
  5. Click Submit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can access Labs?
Agency Admins, Sub-account Admins, and any user with the View & Manage Settings permission.
I do not see Labs — what should I check?
Confirm you are in the right context (Agency vs sub-account) and that your role has Settings access. If it is still missing, ask your account admin.
Can I disable a Labs feature later?
Yes. Toggle it Off in the same place you enabled it.
What does "Live in X days" mean?
It is an estimated timeline to general availability and can shift based on feedback and development progress.
Why is a Labs feature missing in a sub-account?
On eligible plans, the agency may have set the feature to Hidden. Ask an Agency Owner or Admin to change visibility, then refresh the sub-account.
